What exactly am I licensed to do with my clients?
Run Mokoro tools and templates with your own clients inside a named client list, export reports carrying your branding, and charge your clients whatever your work is worth. You keep 100% of what you bill — we never take a share of your professional fees.
Do my clients need their own Mokoro subscription?
No. On Team and Organisation licences, your clients are covered by your licence. They can also use the free local tools directly at any time — that route stays open regardless of what you licence, and we will never bill you for something a client could do for free.
What happens to client data?
Tools are local-first by default: entries stay in the browser they were typed into. If you enable cloud sync, data is encrypted in transit and at rest, isolated per workspace, exportable in full, and erasable on request under the Botswana Data Protection Act, POPIA and GDPR. We do not sell personal data and we do not train models on your client records.
Can I white-label it as our own system?
Practitioner gets your logo on PDF and CSV exports. Team adds client-facing portal pages with your logo and accent colour. Organisation adds full white-label — your palette, your domain, plus API and webhook access.
We are a non-profit or an NGO programme. Is there a different route?
Yes. Organisation licences are discounted for registered non-profits and development programmes, and free seats are available through Mokoro Ripple. Write to us with what you are trying to run and who it serves; we would rather fund the work than lose it on a formality.
Is this actually software, or a promise of software?
The Ops Journal, Time-Saved Tracker and Label QA Calculator are live today and free. The client portal and intake router are in the published build queue with dates in the drip schedule. We state status on the page because selling a roadmap as a product is exactly the kind of thing we refuse to do.
Mokoro Ripple
One free Navigator year is granted for every ten paid Navigator seats and every five paid Captain seats active in a month. Subscription revenue funds it; agency retainers fund one free diagnostic per five signed engagements. No grant is ever used to advertise a paid upsell.
Eligible: Students and recent graduates in business, IT, agriculture or commerce; Sole traders and co-operatives in financial hardship; Unemployed founders actively building something; Community health, agriculture-extension and education workers; Small non-profits and faith-neutral community organisations; Anyone handling a personal or family crisis who needs organising tools, not marketing.
Applications are read by a person. No documents required, and no proof demanded — A human reads it. Trust is the default; we would rather fund one wrong application than humiliate nine right ones.
Quarterly reporting covers: Seats granted and active per quarter · Category breakdown (student, co-operative, non-profit, hardship) — anonymised · Which tools grant holders actually used, and what they recorded about hours recovered · Money in and money out, so the number can be checked rather than believed.
