Built for Botswana buyers

Five ways to buy a web presence. One of them is a system.

A domain, a directory listing, a website, a content studio and an automation partner are five different purchases that get sold as one thing. This page separates them, states who each one suits, and tells you when the answer is somebody else — including the two competitors most Botswana businesses compare us against.

Where this page describes a supplier category, the description was read from that category’s public sites on , with any figure attributed to its publisher. We do not quote prices we have not seen published, and we do not disparage anyone.

The address layer

A registrar and hosting

Somebody registers your .co.bw or .com domain and rents you server space. You get a name, an account, and a place to put files.

What you own
The domain — if it is registered in your name and you keep the account.
Time to live
Live in an hour.
Right for
Any business, first step. Nothing else on this list works without it.

What it does not do: The invoice ends at the address. What lives there is your problem, today and every day after.

The discovery layer

A Botswana business directory

You list your business with a category, a town, a phone number and a WhatsApp button. Buyers already searching for your service find the listing.

What you own
A profile on someone else’s platform, under their rules.
Time to live
Live in twenty minutes — often free, paid tiers for featured placement.
Right for
Trades, guesthouses, restaurants, clinics — anything a person searches for locally and calls.

What it does not do: It brings the contact. It cannot answer at 21:40, quote the job, chase the invoice, or tell you which listing produced money.

The website layer

A site builder or a freelancer

A template you assemble yourself, or a person who assembles one for you. Pages, a contact form, photos, a domain pointed at it.

What you own
Files or a template subscription; the accumulated knowledge lives with whoever built it.
Time to live
Days to weeks, depending on how much of it you do yourself.
Right for
A brochure that needs to exist, when your time is genuinely cheap and your process is genuinely simple.

What it does not do: A page is a shopfront, not a shopkeeper. Leads arrive and wait, and the underlying work stays manual.

The content layer

A social media and design studio

Somebody who shoots, designs, writes and posts for you: photography, video, graphics, captions, a publishing schedule.

What you own
The work they produce, and usually the accounts and assets they keep — check before you sign, and keep the logins.
Time to live
First content live in days; it compounds weekly.
Right for
Anything sold by how it looks — salons, restaurants, guest houses, clothing, events, tourism.

What it does not do: It earns the enquiry and then stops. Nothing in the retainer answers the message at 21:40, quotes the job, chases it, or tells you which post produced money.

The system layer

An automation partner

The enquiry is captured, acknowledged in seconds, qualified, quoted, scheduled, followed up, invoiced and reported — running on infrastructure you own.

What you own
The domain, the data, the workflows, and the dashboards. All of it moves with you.
Time to live
First live workflow in 5–14 days, on top of whatever you already have.
Right for
A business with demand it is already losing to slow follow-up, or staff doing work a system should do.

What it does not do: It costs more than a listing, and it is not worth buying before you have something to automate.

The same four options, on the criteria that decide it

Read the column that matches what you are short of. If the answer is “nothing, we are answering enquiries within minutes and we know what each one cost”, you do not need us.

Cost shapes are deliberately qualitative: published prices differ per supplier and per month, and we are not going to invent someone else’s number to make a table look sharper.

Decide in five questions

  1. 1

Where does a customer currently reach you — phone, WhatsApp, walk-in, or a form nobody answers until the evening?

  2. 2

What happens in the ninety seconds after that first contact?

  3. 3

How many enquiries did last month produce, and what did each cost you to win?

  4. 4

Which repeated task would you pay to never do again — quoting, chasing, reporting, rostering, reconciling?

  5. 5

If your website disappeared tomorrow, what would break?

If question two made you wince, you do not need a prettier website. If question three has no answer, that is the first thing worth building — and it is cheaper than the rebuild you were about to buy.

What we will tell you even when it costs us the sale

If you only need a domain, buy a domain.

Any registrar will do it today. We are not one, and we will not wrap a domain in a retainer to make a sale. Own it in your own name and keep the login.

If your enquiries arrive on WhatsApp and you answer within the hour, a directory may be all you need.

Reach is what you are short of, not throughput. List everywhere and spend nothing on us. If the volume outgrows you, that is the moment to talk.

If a workflow is what is broken, do not pay for a rebuild.

A new website on top of a broken follow-up is an expensive way to keep losing the same leads. We will say so, and we will quote the smaller job.

Straight answers

Do I need a website before you can automate anything?+

No. Most of the value is in what happens after contact, and that can run on WhatsApp, email and a spreadsheet you already have. A site helps you get found; it is not a precondition for a system.

Can you register a domain or sell me hosting?+

No, and that is deliberate. We do not sell either, so we have no reason to steer you towards a more expensive one. We build on infrastructure you own — if you change hosts, nothing we built moves with you.

Is a directory listing worth it if I already have a website?+

Usually yes. It is cheap or free reach where local buyers are already looking, and consistent name, town and phone details help you get found. Treat it as distribution, not as the system that converts.

What if I am too small for any of this?+

Then start with the free tools. The invoice-reminder workflow, the ops journal and the ROI calculator are genuinely useful at one person, cost nothing, and need no account. Grow into the paid work or never do.

How do I know this is not just a bigger invoice than the competition?+

Because everything is scoped before it starts and every claim is measurable afterwards: hours returned, response time, enquiries captured, revenue recovered. If a workflow does not earn its keep, we shut it down rather than renew it.

Fifteen minutes, no pitch deck

Tell us where enquiries arrive and what happens next. If the honest answer is “you need a directory listing and nothing else”, that is what you will hear — and you will still have the free tools.

Prefer to look first? The free tools and the templates are open, with no account and no email gate.
